ArtboardsFromCSV — script for batch creation of artboards with names and dimensions defined in a CSV table.

Features

• Creates new artboards with required dimensions and fits them in canvas as tight as possible (nesting algorithm)
• Assigns provided names or signs artboards with their in W×H format, if their corresponding cells are empty
• Optionally draws artboard-sized rectangles in a new layer
• Reports and logs artboards that don't fit in the canvas
• Complies the limit of 100 (before CC 2018) or 1000 (CC 2018+) artboards
• Detects large canvas mode (CC 2020+) with the document size 2270×2270 inches

How to Install

• Download the archive and unzip it
• Place ArtboardsFromCSV.jsx into Adobe Illustrator scripts folder (How to run scripts)
• Restart Illustrator
